Multilateral, Middle East, South and South East Asia manages the Australian Government’s multilateral education and training relationships. The branch works closely with DEEWR International Network offices in South Asia, South East Asia and the Middle East.
Educational and Professional Recognition (AEI-NOOSR)
AEI-NOOSR section assesses international qualification. The section provides advisory services for a range of clients.
Key responsibilities include:
- supporting qualification recognition work domestically
- advancing the international recognition of Australian qualifications
- production of Country Education Profiles
- providing professional recognition advice for the Australian Government’s Skilled Migration Programme
Trade Agreements and Multilateral section
The section supports Australia’s education and training interests through developing strategies and building relationships with multilateral organizations.
The section:
South Asia, South East Asia and Middle East section
The section is focused on bilateral education relationships with key countries in South Asia, South East Asia and the Middle East.
The section:
- identifies opportunities for expansion of the Australian education industry
- provides policy advice
- develops initiatives which highlight Australia’s strength in education and training
- negotiates bilateral agreements to pursue Australia’s education interests supports DEEWR’s international network.
