ISB provides policy advice to all education sectors, and promotes the industry internationally.
Key responsibilities of the branch are:
- stakeholder communication
- sector research and analysis
- production of international student data
- policy development
- Study in Australia brand.
International Communication Unit
International Communication focuses on AEI’s international education communication activities.
The unit manages:
International Research and Analysis Unit
International Research and Analysis collects data and undertakes research on the Australian international education industry.
The unit:
- manages general statistical analysis of the industry
- manages the AEI international student enrolment database
- provides strategic advice based on research and data.
Strategic Policy Unit
Strategic Policy develops forward policy agenda and responds to critical issues facing the industry. The unit maintains a whole-of-government and whole-of-industry approach to their role.
Key responsibilities are:
- strategic engagement of each education sector
- a secretariat role for various committees
- AEI’s ministerial and parliamentary coordination
- support to the portfolio ministers and the Executive.
