Information on Visas for Guardians

A parent, legal custodian or relative can apply for a student guardian visa to accompany students to Australia when the student is under 18 years of age or has a physical or cultural requirement for an adult to be with them.

A student guardian must be a relative of the student visa applicant, be over 21 years of age and of good character, and meet the general requirements for a student visa, and meet health and financial requirements.

More information about student guardian visas is available on the DIAC website.
